High Performance Features

This elementary school was the first school in Santa Ana USD to meet the CHPS design guidelines. Lorin Griset will be an 850-student K-5 neighborhood elementary school. This proposed 9-acre school at the former Farmers Insurance site includes a variety of play areas, a two-story classroom wing, a kindergarten wing, a multipurpose room and a library/media center.

This school is a result of Santa Ana residents’ support for Measure C Bond funds to help reduce overcrowding at Santa Ana’s schools. Aims to exceed T24 by 20%. Using low VOC materials, recycled content materials, 75% C&D waste diversion goal. Scorecard earned 44 points.
