The Climate Registry	GHG Emission Inventory Registry	The Climate Registry Information System (CRIS) is The Climate Registry’s online GHG calculation, reporting, and verification tool. CRIS also provides public access to The Registry’s verified emission reports. The Climate Registry is a nonprofit collaboration among North American states, provinces, territories and Native Sovereign Nations that sets consistent and transparent standards to calculate, verify and publicly report greenhouse gas emissions into a single registry. Criteria for Adding Additional Registries to the CHPS list of Approved Registries

Registry is web-based
Facility-level (individual building or campus) or entity-level (district) GHG emissions can be reported
Ability to calculate and report all 6 Kyoto Gases (CO2, CH4, N20, HFCs, PFCs, SF6)
Registry is compliant with ISO 14064 international standard
Emissions scopes to be reported include direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2), whereas Scope 3 is optional)(Note: Direct emissions include stationary source, mobile source, process, and fugitive emissions. Indirect emissions include emissions from electricity consumption.)
