CHPS Maintenance & Operations Seminars
Volume IV, Maintenance and Operations, picks up where Volumes I-III leaves off: after the design is finished and the school is constructed, commissioned and operational. Without proper maintenance and operations techniques, the benefits of high performance design can be lost. Volume IV provides guidance for maintenance and operations staff, teachers, and administrators, giving strategies for avoiding improper use of building systems and poor maintenance practices that can greatly diminish the benefits of a high performance school. This volume was funded by CA ratepayers under the auspices of the CA Public Utilities Commission. Additional support was provided by the National Clearing House for Educational Facilities, and Pacific Gas & Electric Company.

Training Formats

CHPS M&O training is provided in two formats:

  • Half-day seminars for M&O administrators (held across the state as shown below). Attendees of the half-day seminar receive a hard copy of the manual free of charge.
  • Two-hour Webcast training seminars for groups of M&O staff (that can be accessed through your own Internet connection after registration). Webcast participants can request a free CD or can purchase the manual for their staff.

All trainings will be presented by CHPS and school district facilities representatives, providing an overview of the new manual. Trainings will also provide tools and processes for administering high performance M&O, resource management, and equipment procurement.

We have no Maintenance & Operations Seminars scheduled at this time, but click here to view the M&O training slides.
